Just off of how it looks I was hesitant to try it. My boyfriend on the other hand was so excited to try it. They tasted almost like a cracker would. Each of these packages will give you enough calories to survive on for one day. There are three of these cracker tasting bricks in each package. I would not choose to each these by choice, but if I had to I would have no problem eating them. They just look to be very unappealing. This works great I have it in my emergency kit in case the power goes out. I gave it a try to test to make sure that it worked properly since I did not want to wait until an actual emergency. The radio works great and I was able to get a reception fairly easily. The light was pretty bright and after some cranking I was able to get enough of a charge to charge my phone from it.
