I really like this silicone spatula. I use it to get a rough layer of frosting on my cake. The scoop end I use to plop the icing onto the cake. Then I use the spatula end to spread it out to a pretty even layer that I can quickly smooth out with an icing knife. I also use the spatula when getting all of the batter out of the bowl before I put it into the oven to bake. This is very easy to clean off when I am done using it.  This is available on Amazon .
