My sister took these to the pool with our dad. She said that she could see perfectly fine when she was looking through them above water, but when she went below the water she could not see anything. These are working great. They were easy to install and I feel safe with my cousins being in the living room without it falling on them. It was easy to adjust to make it so the TV can not move forward the only possible way it can fall is backwards which at my house would mean into the wall so I think that makes it pretty safe.
