When I received this I was pleasantly surprised on how bright the light was. Just do not look into the light like I did or you will be seeing spots for a little while. The batteries seem to give the light power for a long amount of time even though I have not used it more then being able to go out to the shed in the dark. The strap is easy to adjust and stretchy to keep it on your head.
