This works great for summer parties that go late into the night. It gives illumination so you can still carry on with your party. I am concerned though that the plastic will not hold up and will eventually break. It also takes batteries which go into the plastic, so depending how much you are using it you may have to open the plastic compartment a lot and do a lot of fiddling around with it.
